The University of Mississippi is seeking qualifications for design services for the SOC UMMC Health Related Professions Renovation. Proposals must be submitted by 1:00 PM CT on May 7, 2026, to the Office of Procurement Services. A mandatory pre-submission meeting will be held on April 16, 2026. Submittals should include a brochure of experience, completed SF 330 or equivalent, and supporting material. Firms selected for interviews will be notified by May 29, 2026. Bids are quoted F. O. B. University or Oxford, Mississippi. The University reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The bid due date is May 7, 2026, and proposals must arrive at the Procurement Services building no later than 1:00 PM CT on that date. The University advises sending proposals in a timely fashion to allow for unforeseen delays.
The University's standard terms are 2 10 days, net 45 days, unless otherwise specified by the bidder. Payment will be made within 30 days from the receipt of products in satisfactory condition and receipt of the invoice, assuming no prompt payment discount provision.
The bid notice states that if an equal product proves defective or unsatisfactory within the guaranty period, the contractor shall replace it with material on which the specifications require him to base his proposal, without cost to the owner.
The contract will be awarded as soon as possible to the lowest and best responsible bidder, provided their bid is reasonable and it is in the best interest of the owner to accept it.
The selected firm must have an established record of expertise in renovating university buildings on campus, health-related professions academic design, a familiarity with the size and scope of the project, and a demonstrated ability to respond to an aggressive schedule.
The bid notice mentions that strict adherence to the specifications will be required, and the contractor will receive no compensation for loss in furnishing goods disapproved for not complying with the specifications.
A meeting will be held for professionals that would like to discuss the project prior to the submission date on April 16, 2026, at 1:30 a. m. CT at the John W. White Facilities Management Bldg. , Facilities Planning Conference Room B02, 700 Hathorn Road, University, MS. University parking permits are required for all attendees.
After the bids are opened, all bidders, if requested, may be required to furnish complete samples of any or all items listed before an award is made. A bound brochure should also be submitted with the bid.
