All purchases awarded shall be based upon the proposal most advantageous to the st. bernard parish schoolboard, price and other factors considered.

A mandatory prebid conference will be held on september 14, 2026, 10:00am at the schoolboards administration offices, 200 e. st. bernard hwy, chalmette, la ****.

Responses will not be accepted from contractors that fail to attend the prebid conference.

All bids must be delivered no later than 11:00 AM on August 17, 2026.

Payment will be made only after correct presentation of claim forms or invoices are obtained from the ordering school district.

All items supplied must carry a manufacturer's standard warranty, and the successful bidder must guarantee merchandise for at least one year from the date of delivery.

Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, as will best promote the public interest, taking into consideration the reliability of the bidder, the quality of the materials, their conformity with the specifications, and the terms of delivery.

Contractor shall have a minimum of five years experience in athletic field maintenance and improvements and shall have been in business for not less than five years.

If the successful bidder fails to deliver within the time specified, or fails to take replacement of rejected articles, the school district may purchase from other sources and the bidder agrees to reimburse the school district for excess costs incurred.

The school district reserves the right to request a representative sample of the item quoted upon either prior to the award or before shipments are made.

A bidder may be disqualified from receiving awards if such bidder or anyone in his employ has, in the sole judgment of the district, previously failed to perform satisfactorily in connection with public bidding or contracts.

A preliminary site visit is mandatory. contractor is responsible for visiting the worksite to ascertain the nature and location of the work to be performed and the general and local conditions which may affect the work or the cost thereof.
