The Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking bids for holiday lighting and décor services within the Northwest Progresso Flagler Heights CRA area, specifically along Sistrunk Boulevard and NW 6th Street. The contract period is one year with four optional one-year renewals. Services include design, installation, maintenance, removal, and off-season storage of holiday lighting and décor. Bidders must submit final design selections for CRA approval within 15 calendar days of award. All installation must be completed 14 days prior to Thanksgiving, and removal must be completed by January 14th each year. The contractor must provide a dedicated service team for the Light Up Sistrunk ceremony. Malfunctioning lights or damaged decorations must be repaired or replaced within three calendar days of notification. Bidders are strongly encouraged to conduct a site inspection. Firms must demonstrate experience with comparable projects, sufficient staffing and equipment, a detailed project approach, and an inventory and procurement plan. Pricing must be inclusive of all costs.
The bid notice states that all holiday lighting and décor shall be fully installed, tested, and operational no later than fourteen 14 calendar days prior to Thanksgiving of each contract year, and all holiday lighting and décor shall be completely removed no later than January 14 of each contract year.
Bidders shall demonstrate the ability to successfully perform work of similar size, complexity, and scope, including a description of the firm's experience with comparable holiday lighting or large-scale decorative lighting projects, at least three references, photographs or examples of past installations, and a description of the firm's organizational capacity.
The CRA reserves the right to reduce or withhold payment for any lighting or décor elements that are not installed, not operational, or not maintained in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit and inspect all pole median locations prior to submitting a response in order to become fully familiar with site conditions, access limitations, electrical infrastructure, and any other factors that may impact the design, installation, and operation of the holiday lighting and décor.
The CRA may consider a bidder's failure to complete prior projects of similar scope or demonstrated inability to meet project deadlines as part of its evaluation.
