This is an invitation to bid for the sale of miscellaneous nonferrous metals located at Naval Base San Diego. Bids are due by 12:00 PM Pacific Time on April 7, 2026. Payment for the original amount offered is due prior to material transfer, and must be by bank draft or cashier's check. Additional material up to 20% above the advertised estimate may be invoiced, with payment due within 15 business days of invoice receipt. Material weights and payments are based on the NRSw QRP scale. All lots are sold as is for scrap metal purposes only, and sales are final. Buyers must remove material within 15 business days of award. Penalties will be imposed for late payments, dishonored checks, or failure to pick up awarded material. Bidders must thoroughly inspect materials; failure to inspect will not be grounds for post-award claims. Vehicles used for removal must be properly licensed and insured, and loads must be secured. The buyer assumes full liability for all applicable taxes and indemnifies the NRSw QRP. The buyer certifies that all purchased property will be completely destroyed by melting, shredding, or an equivalent method. Offerors are advised to submit offers independently to prevent restriction of competition.
