Aquifer Testing Government Bids & RFPs

The entire work must be completed and ready for use not later than 30 actual construction working days after the notice to proceed.

Payment shall be made in local currency by electronic funds transfer (EFT) within 30 days after receipt of the proper invoice. Requests for payment may be made no more frequently than monthly.

The contractor warrants that the items delivered are merchantable and fit for the particular purpose described in the contract. Special warranties may be required as set forth in FAR ****, Warranty of Construction.

Award will be made to the lowest priced, acceptable, responsible quoter.

Offerors must be technically qualified and financially responsible, understand written and spoken English, have an established business in Kenya, possess proof of registration and authorization, have experience in similar projects, possess technical expertise and equipment, have all local licenses and permits, provide a detailed Gantt chart, meet local insurance requirements, and have no adverse criminal record or affiliations contrary to U. S. interests.

If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, liquidated damages of $500 for each calendar day of delay will be assessed.

A site visit is scheduled for August 7, 2026, at the Lochab construction site. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site.

Failure to timely submit required security may result in rescinding or termination of the contract. Failure to provide required information for security checks may be grounds for rejection or resubmittal.

The anticipated range in price of this contract will be: $25,000 to $100,000.

Bids must be submitted no later than 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

The contract documents detail payment terms, including monthly progress payments and retainage, with provisions for substitution of securities.

The contractor shall provide a written guarantee that the work will remain free of defects and suitable for its intended use for the period required by the contract documents or the longest period permitted by the law of this state, whichever is longer.

The city shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder submitting a responsive bid.

Bidders must be licensed contractors and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The city reserves the right to reject any bid if an investigation of the submitted information does not satisfy the engineer that the bidder is qualified.

Liquidated damages will be assessed for each calendar day of delay beyond the prescribed completion time, as set forth in the special conditions.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 9:00 a. m. to review the projects existing conditions.

Bidders may file a protest of a bid in writing within five calendar days after the bid opening date.

Failure to acknowledge addenda, submit required forms, or comply with registration requirements may result in a bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected.

Sealed bids must be submitted by August 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

A two (2) year warranty per well is required from the date of final acceptance.

The bid deemed most advantageous to the township and the public interest will be accepted.

Contractors must possess a Michigan Well Drilling License and have completed a minimum of four (4) 350 GPM projects within the last two years, providing project references.

A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for August 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at **** Rattalee Lk. Rd.

Proposals must be submitted by Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM prevailing time.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certificate of experience and certificate of equipment.

Upon failure to execute the contract and furnish performance bonds within twenty-one days, the bidder shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty 60 days after the date set for the opening thereof.

Failure to execute the contract and furnish performance bonds within twenty-one days of award will result in forfeiture of the bid deposit as liquidated damages.
