Georgetown County, SC is seeking qualified firms for a preliminary design of the Downtown Pawleys Island Streetscape Plan. The project aims to enhance walkability, improve public transit and cycling opportunities, and upgrade wayfinding signage along Highway 17. Key elements include traffic calming, parking layout improvements, pedestrian and multimodal access, public transportation stops, traffic flow management, landscaping, utility feasibility, lighting, and public engagement. Proposals are due by June 24, 2026. Bids must be submitted electronically.
Bids must be received on or before Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET.
Invoices will be paid within thirty (30) days unless items are questioned. An IRS W9 form must be on file before payment is issued.
Proposals will be scored based on Project Approach/Understanding (30 points), Firm Experience and Qualifications (30 points), Project Team (30 points), and Project Schedule and Organization (10 points).
Firms must be highly qualified to develop a preliminary design, demonstrating understanding of the scope of work, relevant experience, and a capable project team.
In case of default, the county may procure goods or services from another source and hold the contractor responsible for any resulting excess costs.
There is no pre-bid conference or site inspection scheduled.
