The solicitation requires construction material (general stone) from approved sources. The contractor must provide a loading location on the Missouri River within 15 miles of the confluence with the Mississippi River. Samples must be tested by an approved laboratory. Quarry operations must meet specific quality specifications, including blasting techniques and handling procedures. Quality service records or tests will be used to determine acceptability. Sources without records in the past 10 years will be tested. Stone must meet specific gradation and size requirements.
