The proposals are due from potential bidders on december 4, 2025.

The bid notice states that he city will make payment to the vendor within 30 days of receipt by the financeaccounting division of a correct and complete invoice.

The following criteria will be considered, although not exclusively, in the award of a contract: price, and associated costs to city: 60, ability to meet requirements stated in scope of services: 15, quality and use of end products: 15, customer service and dependability references: 10.

The city is soliciting written proposals from qualified firms or individuals to process sourceseparatedorganic materials into compost and soil amendments, with a hauling option.

An optional prebid meeting and facility walkthrough will be held on ovember 24, 2025 at 10: 00 a. m. , at **** second street, berkeley, ca ****.

The contractor shall provide two 2 onegallon bags or buckets of finished compost as part of the rfp submission for quality testing and evaluation.

The contract will be completed within 90 days from the notice of award.

Instructions for invoicing the city of tybee island for products delivered to the city are specified in the contract document.

The bidder will unconditionally guarantee the materials and workmanship for one 1 year from completion of the project or delivery of goods.

The city will award the contract to he responsible bidder with the lowest responsive bid on the base bid.

The scope of work, specifications and plans define a responsible bidder as one who meets, or by the date of the bid acceptance can meet, certifications, all requirements for licensing, insurance, and registrations, or other documentation required.

The parties hereby stipulate that the sum of five hundred dollars 500 per day is a reasonable preestimate of the probable damages or loss incurred by owner for delay in completion of construction.

A prebid meeting will be held on tuesday december 29, 2025 at 11: 00am in the public safetybuilding conference room 78 van horne avenue, tybee island. interested bidders areencouraged to attend, as they will have the opportunity to discuss specifications and askquestions.

Potential bidders must present any written objection to this itb at least seven 7 days prior to the bid due date.

The anticipated period of performance will be from 9/22/2025 to 5/31/2026. Please see attachment 1 statement of work and attachment 2 location maps combined for exact 16 locations.

The contractor warrants and implies that the items delivered hereunder are merchantable and fit for use for the particular purpose described in this contract.

Award will be made to the responsible quoter whose quote responds to the terms of the rfq and is the lowest price technically acceptable lpta offer to the government.

In order to be considered technically acceptable, a contractor must provide the following information and provide information as to their capability to complete the work as required: 1. submit the technical narrative 2. submit past performance information 3. submit pricing in accordance with section vi, line item on attachment 5 pricing sheet. 4. acknowledge any amendments to the solicitation.
