Ulster County is seeking bids for the upgrade and replacement of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and related equipment at the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center. The scope includes furnishing, installation, startup, testing, and a five-year service plan for various UPS units, battery packs, and bypass switches. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for August 4, 2026. Bids are due by August 20, 2026. The award will be based on the lowest responsive, responsible bid for the combined total of UPS equipment installation and the five-year maintenance plan. Bidders must submit detailed specifications and comply with all general conditions, insurance requirements, and local/state/federal regulations. A bid guarantee of 5% of the bid price is required.
The successful bidder shall complete the UPS upgrades and replacement work within one (1) year from the execution of the contract by the county, unless otherwise extended by the county in writing. Bidders must be qualified contractors and furnish all necessary data on items they propose to furnish. The county reserves the right to reject any bid if an investigation fails to satisfy the county that the bidder is fully qualified. Should the successful bidder fail to meet a delivery date, the county may cancel the order and terminate the contract. If material or equipment fails to meet specifications, the county may require replacement at the bidder's expense. A site visit is strongly recommended and will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center. Any errors in the bid award that are the fault of the county must be forwarded in writing within five (5) working days of the notification of award.
