The city may make investigations to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work and reserves the right to reject any bid if evidence submitted or investigation fails to satisfy the city that the bidder is properly qualified.
In event of default by the bidder, the city reserves the right to procure the commodities and/or services from other sources and hold the bidder liable for any excess cost occasioned thereby.
Samples, when requested, must be furnished free of expense to the city, and if not destroyed, will, upon request, be returned at the bidders risk and expense.
If any person contemplating the submission of a bid is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications, plans or other documents, they should submit a written request for an interpretation thereof to the city purchasing agent at least 10 days prior to scheduled bid opening.
