East Access Road Repairs Reconstruction and repair of a segment of existing gravel road and asphalt paved road, including a riprap lined roadside drainage ditch. Optional bid item for removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement and full depth hot mix asphalt replacement. Base bid includes removal and offsite disposal of existing large diameter pipe culvert and concrete drop inlet structure, installation of a new precast reinforced concrete box culvert, headwalls, wingwalls, and an energy dissipator. Work also includes clearing and grubbing, removal and disposal of damaged asphalt pavement and silty subgrade soils, removal, stockpiling, and reuse of existing rock riprap, cleaning and readjustment of existing concrete drop inlet structures and plastic pipe culverts, earthwork ( excavation, filling, backfilling, trenching, compaction, grading), topsoil placement, seeding, and erosion/sedimentation control measures.
