The exterior insulation finish system ( EIFS) has several areas showing decay and even has large sections missing at several locations around the building. In addition, the main entrance canopy has significant signs of decay including rust of the structural steel and downspouts; deteriorating EIFS; and missing canopy ceiling. To stay within the project budget and to address the focal areas of the building, the scope of work will be limited to the renovation of the main faade, replacement of the entrance canopy, updating the front plaza and the urgent repairs around the remaining exterior of the building. At the front faade of the building, the damaged masonry will be repaired and the entirety of the EIFS will be replaced with a modern metal wall panel assembly.
