Genesee County is soliciting proposals for physician services for the Juvenile Justice Center. Proposals are due August 27, 2026, by 12:00 PM EST. Questions are due August 12, 2026, by 3:00 PM EST. Vendors must have a minimum of five years of experience in correctional or related institutional healthcare. Services include medical examinations, routine and emergency treatment, on-call coverage, and onsite visits. The contract will be awarded to the offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to Genesee County, based on a scoring system including core competency, years of experience, ability to set up, professional experience, financial stability, and references. Proposers must have the capability in all respects to perform the work and possess integrity and reliability. If the contractor breaches the contract and the breach continues for 14 days after written notice, the county may terminate the contract and the contractor will be responsible for all costs incurred by the county. If the contractor is in breach of any provision of this contract, and such breach continues for fourteen 14 days after written notice is issued to the contractor by the county of the breach, the county may terminate this contract.
