Includes installation of water and storm drain pipes, inlet structures, detention pond, outlet structure, and erosion control. Bids are due July 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM MST. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 8, 2026. Bid security of 5% is required. Contractors must be licensed in New Mexico. Performance and payment bonds are required. The contract duration is 60 days from notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $500 per day for delays.
The bidder agrees the riverview ave waterline stormline extensions work will be substantially completed by 60 days from notice to proceed. Readiness for final payment will be 14 calendar days after final substantial completion.
No progress payments shall be made to contractor until the required bonds and certificates of insurance are delivered to the owner.
The bidder shall warrant and guarantee all workmanship performed by the bidder and materials supplied by the bidder for a minimum period of one 1 year from purchase date or date of substantial completion, unless otherwise specified in the specifications.
If a contract is to be awarded, owner will give the apparent successful bidder a notice of award within sixty days after the day of the bid opening. If a contract is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose evaluation by owner indicates to owner that the award will be in the best interest of the project.
The minimum qualifications for the contractor are as follows: has 5 or more years of experience in constructionrenovation of facilities for projects exceeding $100,000 and has valid New Mexico contractor license.
The bidder agrees liquidated damages will be paid to the owner for each day beyond each completion expiration in the amount of **** per calendar day for completion of remaining work and readiness for final payment beyond completion expiration date.
Bidders shall carefully examine the contract documents and the maintenance sites to obtain firsthand knowledge of existing conditions.
Any protest by a bidder must be timely and in conformance with section ****, NMSA, **** and applicable procurement regulations. The fifteen 15 day protest period for responsive bidders shall begin on the day following the citys written notification to all responding bidders.
Failure to meet a mandatory item or factor will result in the rejection of the offeror's proposal.
