A large slope failure, encompassing approximately 1. 25 acres, has significantly impacted Trace Branch Road. Perry County continues to perform routine maintenance on this section of roadway to ensure continued access for the sixteen residents located beyond the slide area, as this roadway represents the sole means of ingress and egress. In addition to roadway damage, the ongoing slope instability has resulted in repeated failures of the primary water distribution line serving these residents.
