Mississippi State University is planning a sole-source purchase of a ParvoMedics TrueOne **** metabolic measurement system for the Department of Kinesiology. The system is deemed essential for ongoing research and instructional programs. The department has evaluated other systems and determined that the ParvoMedics system is uniquely suited to their needs due to its proprietary features, lab integration, and consistency with existing equipment. The estimated cost is $32,**** objecting to this purchase must submit a written notice to Jennifer Mayfield, CPPO, Director of Procurement Contracts, with a detailed explanation of why the commodity is not a sole source and supporting documentation. If MSU determines the commodity can be provided by another source, the sole-source request will be withdrawn and submitted to a competitive bid process. Otherwise, the matter will be appealed to the public procurement review board.

This is a solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract under simplified acquisition procedures for the purchase of a pneumatic pressure controller calibrator.
