HHSC PCS is seeking bids for a standard P-type coaxial high purity germanium (HPGe) gamma detector to replace an aging unit. The detector is used for radiochemical drinking water compliance monitoring and environmental monitoring. Bids are due June 23, 2026, 10:30 am CT. The contract is anticipated to start June 24, 2026. Historical monetary value for similar goods was between $45,**** to $80,**** for FY 2025. Bidders must submit a comprehensive response. Negotiations are prohibited. Responses will be screened for administrative compliance. HHSC reserves the right to waive irregularities. Responses will be evaluated based on meeting requirements, ability to perform, and price, with the award going to the bidder providing the best value. Past vendor performance will be considered.
