HHSC PCS is seeking bids for a standard P-type coaxial high purity germanium (HPGe) gamma detector to replace an aging unit. The detector is used for radiochemical drinking water compliance monitoring and environmental monitoring. Bids are due June 23, 2026, 10:30 am CT. The contract is anticipated to start June 24, 2026. Historical monetary value for similar goods was between $45,**** to $80,**** for FY 2025. Bidders must submit a comprehensive response. Negotiations are prohibited. Exceptions may lead to disqualification. Responses must be received by the deadline. The offer is binding for 240 days. Costs incurred in preparing the response are the bidder's responsibility. Invoicing and payment are governed by the Texas Prompt Payment Act. HHSC will make payments in accordance with the pricing on Exhibit C. Disputed invoices will be returned to the contractor. Responses will be screened for administrative compliance. HHSC reserves the right to waive irregularities. Responses will be evaluated based on meeting requirements, ability to perform, and price, with the award going to the bidder providing the best value. Past vendor performance will be considered. USDA's Radiation Safety Division needs contractor support to supply, process, and manage radiation dosimeters for approximately 100 USDA locations (CONUS and OCONUS).
