The University of Missouri is seeking proposals for pyrotechnics displays for various events. Qualified suppliers are invited to submit proposals. Proposals must be submitted through the University of Missouri's electronic bidding platform. Mandatory requirements include compliance with NFPA codes, submission of ATF license, Missouri state license for operators, safety records for the past 35 years, and specific documentation for performances. Desirable criteria include experience, approach to safety, ability to perform outdoor and indoor displays, and equipment used. The contract period is from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027, with four one-year renewal options. Pricing shall remain firm for the initial term, and suppliers must state their maximum percentage increase for renewal periods. Insurance requirements must be met. The University's standard payment terms are net 30. They also offer an early pay discount if paid sooner, and utilize a single use account (SUA) option for electronic payments which can settle as soon as the next day.
Evaluation of this RFP will be based on meeting the mandatory requirements in order to be qualified for scoring. Qualified respondents will then be scored on the ability to meet the desirable criteria, SDVE participation, Missouri based, supplier presentations when applicable, and financials.
