The City of Ludington is seeking bids for the construction of two retaining walls at Cartier Park Campground. The project includes site preparation, excavation, installation of modular concrete block systems, and drainage. Bids are due by 2:00 PM on June 2, 2026. A site visit is available by appointment on May 26, 2026. Questions regarding the RFP are due by May 26, 2026. The selected contractor will enter into a professional services agreement with the City. The City reserves the right to modify requirements and is not obligated to accept the lowest bid. The successful bidder will be selected based on multiple criteria, not solely cost. The contractor must maintain specific insurance coverages, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability, naming the City of Ludington as an additional insured.
The bid submission deadline is June 2, 2026, by 2:00 PM. The project completion deadline is October 16, 2026.
The contract awarded will be based upon a fixed fee basis, with payments negotiated upon acceptance of the vendor's cost bid. Payments, as approved by the City, shall be made monthly to the contractor.
The City will base its selection on multiple criteria evaluated through the submitted bid, and is not obligated to accept the lowest bid.
Bids are solicited from qualified, licensed, and insured contractors or landscaping firms. The bid should include general company information, details on staying current with regulations, descriptions of staff and their certifications/experience, references, client relationship management approach, and support staff details.
