The agency is seeking maintenance, user support, and application upgrades for the smart roadside remote monitoring system. The procurement is justified as sole source due to the proprietary nature of the system and the lack of authorized third-party maintenance. Interested parties who object to the sole source determination must submit a written notice by June 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM local time, with detailed justification and information about comparable commodities and alternative sources. If MDPS determines that the commodity can be provided by another entity, the sole source request will be withdrawn and submitted to a competitive bid process. Otherwise, MDPS will appeal to the public procurement review board.

Bidders must be registered with the State of Mississippi. Quotes are due June 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM Central Standard Time, either in person or electronically via the Mississippi Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC). A W-9 form must be submitted. Vendors who meet all requirements will be eligible for a reverse auction process. Delivery of vehicles is F. O. B. destination, freight prepaid by the successful bidder, to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, **** East Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, MS ****, during normal business days. The vehicles must be delivered within 90 working days of the order date. Bid specifications include detailed requirements for the vehicle's chassis, body, interior features, and equipment. Additional documents required: specifications, literature, samples. Participation criteria: registration with the state of Mississippi, W9 form submission. Process stages: quote submission, evaluation, reverse auction, award. Deadlines: bid submission (June 17, 2025), qualification (June 24, 2025), email to qualified bidders (July 1, 2025), reverse auction (July 8, 2025), bid evaluation (July 15, 2025), anticipated intent to award (July 15, 2025).
