Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Piqua Improvement Corporation, 201 W. Water Street, Piqua, Ohio ****, by Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 2:00 p. m. EDT. Bidders must adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding competitive bidding. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates as per Chapter **** of the Ohio Revised Code. The Piqua Improvement Corporation is exempt from federal excise and state retail sales taxes. Bidders must submit a complete bid package including the bid proposal, a list of at least three similar projects completed in the last two years, brief company background, and license numbers for asbestos abatement personnel if applicable. Demolition must be in accordance with industry standards, and debris must be disposed of at a licensed facility. All necessary permits must be secured. Contractors are responsible for all social security and workers' compensation taxes. A contract and performance bond equal to the total contract amount will be required. Payment terms indicate that invoices are to be submitted in duplicate, and payment may take more than 30 days depending on the funding agency's response time. The Piqua Improvement Corporation reserves the right to accept the bid or bids which, in the judgment of proper officials, is to the best interest of the Piqua Improvement Corporation.
Bidders must submit a complete bid package including the invitation for bid packet with completed bid proposal, a list of no less than three clients for whom similar work has been completed in the last two years (including name and addresses), brief background information on the company including the closest office location to the project, and license numbers or copies of registration certificates for asbestos abatement supervisors and workers if applicable.
In case of your default, the Piqua Improvement Corporation may procure the items or services from other sources and hold you responsible for any excess costs occasioned thereby and any other damages permitted by law.
