Stair Replacement Replacement of three 3 stairs. Two of the stairs are exterior fire escape stairs at the end of each dormitory wing. One stair is an exterior stair to the mechanical room. A preconstruction phase will be included prior to actual construction for submittals, material ordering and delivery. All materials must be onsite or available at the start of construction. Contractor shall provide temporary stair out of each dormitory between the demolition of the existing stair and the installation of the new stair. All personnel on the project site must pass background checks before being allowed to work within the facility. Contractors and subcontractors must adhere to the department of corrections rules for construction which are indicated in the specifications.
