The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is seeking a contractor for on-demand American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services. The services are needed when unforeseen circumstances prevent scheduling ASL interpreting services through the current process. The CPUC employee will request interpreter services on demand. The City of St. Louis Department of Human Services, Office on the Disabled, is seeking proposals for interpreter services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Proposals are due July 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM Central Time. The contract will be for one year, with up to two one-year extensions. Respondents must submit one original and six copies of their proposal, in Word and PDF format, via email. The proposal must include a transmittal letter, organization information, qualifications of interpreters, letters of reference, key personnel, pricing, acknowledgment of prevailing wage and benefits, verification of license and taxes. The evaluation will consider qualifications of the contractor, staff, and subcontractors, proposed services, standards for administration of the contract, rates and fees, and compensation and method of payment. Additional terms and conditions include indemnification, amendments, right to withdraw proposal, revisions to the RFP, contents of proposals, respondent's responsibility, termination, governing law and venue, and terms to be required in contracts (nondiscrimination policy, public records law, unauthorized aliens affidavit, indemnification, subject to appropriation of funds, prohibition on limitation of liability clauses, termination).
