Seeking bids for high voltage switch gear repair and biannual preventive maintenance at Richmond State Supported Living Center. Services include inspections, electrical testing, emergency repairs (within 1-hour response, 2-hour travel), and developing an electrical systems map. Contractor must be located within 50 miles. Responses to this IFB must be received by July 21, 2026, 10:30 am.
Payment will be made in accordance with chapter **** of the Texas Government Code, the Texas Prompt Payment Act. Invoices must include the contract or purchase order number and describe work completed. Payment is subject to satisfactory performance and receipt of services.
Award will be made to the bidder who provides the best value to the state, considering the bidder meeting requirements, ability to meet performance delivery requirements, and price.
The bidder shall have relevant experience of at least three years. Bidders' personnel must have at least three years of relevant experience and the appropriate electrician license through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). A minimum of three verifiable references for similar services within the last 5 years is required.
An optional onsite visit will be conducted on July 6, 2026, at 10:00 am at Richmond State Supported Living Center, **** Preston, Richmond TX **** is strongly encouraged but not required.
Failure to comply with sole point of contact requirements, submitting exceptions to the IFB, including assumptions in a response, not properly and timely notifying of ambiguities, conflicts, or discrepancies, or failing to monitor the ESBD for addenda can lead to disqualification.
