The NASA Glenn Research Center requires four replacement micropump heads for a regenerative fuel cell project. The vendor must deliver the pump heads within 12 weeks. The proposal must include cost and delivery time, options considered by the government, exceptions to the specification with rationale, additional information, a process and instrumentation diagram (PID), electrical power and control signal requirements, a preliminary general arrangement drawing, and manufacturer data sheets for all components. All testing must be performed with clean, filtered water, and piping and pressure vessels must be tested according to ASME standards. The pump heads must be capable of flow rates from 1 ml/minute to 500 ml/minute and system pressures of at least **** psia. The pump heads will be operated indoors with ambient temperatures between 4C and 65C and supplied with **** VDC power. The deionized water will have a resistivity from 16. 5 mcm to 18 mcm and a temperature between 4C and 70C at the pump assembly inlet.
