Addendum 1 for Modification for Muddy Creek Watershed Structure
Modification for Muddy Creek Watershed Structure No. 16 Modification of Muddy Creek watershed structure no. 16 in McDowell County. The modification to dam no. 16 of the muddy creek watershed in McDowell county, nc consists of the replacement of the existing trash rack with a newly designed trash rack. the modified trash rack has been designed to alleviate problems associated with clogging of the existing trash rack and dam riser structure. the modified trash rack is composed of a 42 halfround corrugated metal pipe. the pipe will be capped at the top and bottom and have perforations ranging from 3. 5 to 6. 5 in diameter along the length of the pipe. a 2. 5 wide rectangular opening will also be included approximately 0. 5 from the top of the pipe. in addition to the modified trash rack, a 30 waterman c20 or approved equal canal gate assembly will be installed to replace the missing gate assembly. a ladder will also be installed on both sides of the perforated pipe to aid in maintenance activities.
