RFQ for renovation of an embassy playground. Includes demolition, site preparation, and installation of new equipment and safety tiles. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 15, 2026. Quotations are due by July 23, 2026. Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, and responsible offeror. Offerors must be technically qualified and financially responsible, with prior construction experience and relevant licenses. A minimum three-year warranty is required for installed equipment, workmanship, tiles, and concrete base.
The contractor shall complete all work, including furnishing all labor, materials, insurances, equipment, and services required under this contract for the following firm fixed price and within the time specified. The contractor shall complete all work required under this contract and make the renovated playground fully operational and ready for government inspection and public use within 168 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed (NTP).
Embassy payment terms are 30 days net credit. Payment is due within 30 days after the receipt of a proper invoice as defined by 5 CFR **** and all services were received and accepted by the government. The embassy does not make any advance payments.
Contractor must provide a minimum of three 3 years warranty covering the installed playground equipment, workmanship, new rubber safety tiles, and concrete base. The warranty starts the day after final inspection approval from the authorized government personnel.
The award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, and responsible offeror.
Offerors/quoters must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work described in this solicitation. At a minimum, each offeror/quoter must meet requirements including understanding English, having a valid Kuwait commercial license, SAM registration or completed FAR ****, demonstrating prior construction experience, having necessary personnel and resources, and possessing all required licenses and permits.
If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, or any extension, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the government in the amount of KWD 151 (US $490) for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted.
A site visit has been scheduled for July 15, 2026, at 09:30 am Kuwait local time to the U. S. Embassy Kuwait. Interested contractors are strongly encouraged to attend to inspect the premises prior to finalizing their proposals.
All sample of products/materials required for this project should be submitted for review and approval if requested in the scope of work. Product data/catalogs of products shall be provided when actual samples cannot be provided.
Failure to follow submission instructions, including providing all required information, may render the offer noncompliant and ineligible for further consideration. Proposals without complete product data will be considered technically not acceptable.
