Peoria County is accepting bids for the renovation of the main street lobby and south vestibule. Bids must be submitted by October 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM. A pre-bid meeting is optional on October 2, 2026. The project is subject to the prevailing wage act and requires participation in an apprenticeship training program for contracts over $30,000. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder.

For contracts of $30,000 or greater, the county requires participation in an apprenticeship training program and submission of a certificate of apprenticeship and training with bid response.
Failure to timely submit certified payrolls shall result in core construction and the county withholding payment under the awarded contract.
Prior to submitting a bid each bidder shall visit the site of the proposed work and fully acquaint himself with conditions as they exist, so that he may fully understand the facilities, difficulties and restrictions which may affect the work and cost thereof.
When required, samples of items must be submitted within the timeframe specified and at no expense to core construction or the county and, if not destroyed in testing, will be returned at the bidders request and expense.
No inquiries, written or otherwise, will be accepted within 72 hours prior to the time and date of the bid opening.
Bids which contain qualifications or conditions inserted for the purpose of limiting or otherwise qualifying the responsibility shall be subject to rejection.
