The bid response is due by Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST.
Payment requests will be by detailed monthly invoice, with a 5% retainage held for each invoice. Final payment will be made after board approval, with a minimum of 5% retainage over the total project held until final lien waiver release.
A maintenance bond is required for a period of two years after acceptance of the project to protect against defective workmanship.
The award of the contract will be made to the bidder offering the best bid in the interest of M SUA and having provided the necessary bonds, insurance, and other documents.
Bidders must complete a qualification statement detailing their address, available equipment, financial records, and list of similar projects completed. They must also demonstrate their ability to meet all stipulated requirements.
If the contract is terminated for default or other just cause, the contractor may be liable for excess costs and liquidated damages as defined in the contract agreement for avoidable delays.
Bidders are required to visit the site of the work and inform themselves of all conditions that would affect the prosecution and completion of the work.
Failure to execute the agreement and file required bonds and insurance within the required time will be cause for annulment of the award.
