Kaufman County is seeking sealed bids for a water tank truck. The deadline for bid submission is August 13th, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Bids must be submitted in sealed packages to the Purchasing Department. No online or electronic submissions are allowed. Vendors are prohibited from contacting county officials except through the purchasing agent via email. The award will be based on a combination of lowest price, availability, and turnaround time. All bids must include freight costs and delivery to the specified address. Vendors must provide references and complete required forms, including a conflict of interest questionnaire and a safety record questionnaire. The contract will be awarded by the Commissioners Court.
The deadline for solicitation submittals is 2:00 p. m. , Thursday, August 13th, 2026.
Payment will be made upon receipt and acceptance by the county of completed services, goods and/or products ordered and receipt of a valid invoice, in accordance with the Texas Government Code, Chapter **** payment not made within thirty 30 days of its due date shall bear interest.
Respondent shall warrant that all equipment goods services shall conform to the proposed specifications and/or all warranties stated in the uniform commercial code and be free from all defects in material, workmanship, and title. A 3-year complete tank warranty is also specified.
Evaluation criteria shall include, but not be limited to: unit price, delivery, vendors past performance record with Kaufman County, evaluation of vendors ability to perform, Kaufman County's experience with products bid, special needs and requirements of Kaufman County, results of performance evaluation.
The respondent shall affirmatively demonstrate qualifications by meeting or exceeding the following minimum requirements: have adequate financial resources, or the ability to obtain such resources as required; be able to comply with any required or proposed delivery schedule; have a satisfactory record of performance; have a satisfactory record of integrity and ethics; be otherwise qualified and eligible to receive the award.
Failure to comply with guidelines could result in disqualification. Nonperformance or noncompliance of standard terms and conditions or specifications shall be basis for termination. Gratuities offered or given by the respondent may result in contract cancellation.
Failure to comply with communication guidelines, misrepresentations or omissions in the safety record questionnaire, or being on the federal governments list of suspended, ineligible, or debarred entities may result in disqualification or contract termination.
