Electromyography Government Bids & RFPs

This is a sources sought announcement for electromyography and nerve conduction velocity testing services for adults in custody at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) intends to make a single award for a firm fixed-price requirements type contract. The contract period will include a base period and four one-year option periods. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is ****, with a size standard of $16 million. Services will be performed at FMC Lexington, with scheduling subject to mutual agreement. FMC Lexington anticipates approximately 30 sessions per year, but reserves the right to adjust. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, excluding federal holidays. The contractor must be available on short notice and respond within four hours when required. The contractor is responsible for maintaining session-based invoice verification (SBIV). Providers must be licensed physicians or licensed physical therapists with a current, unrestricted professional license in Kentucky and at least three years of documented experience. Documentation of qualifications, including licenses, diplomas, certifications, and resumes, must be provided. The contractor will utilize FMC Lexington's EMG/NCV machines and supplies. Detailed results and recommendations must be provided in a written report. Pricing will be based on required nerve studies. Contractors must wear professional attire and are prohibited from wearing khaki or green clothing. Contractors will not be responsible for inmate management or BOP staff supervision. They must be aware of security and maintain professional relationships with inmates, reporting any infractions. Discussion of examination findings or treatment options with inmates is prohibited. Contractors must be free of communicable diseases and provide proof of tuberculosis testing and Hepatitis B vaccination (or declination). Adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as BOP policies, is required. Contractors must inform the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) of any adverse actions affecting their licenses or certifications. A six-month notice is preferred for contract dissolution. Medical records are confidential but accessible to authorized BOP staff. A point of contact (POC) with sufficient clinical knowledge is required. Monthly invoices with SBIV are necessary for payment. Contractors must attend initial and annual four-hour training sessions at their own expense and sign in/out for accountability.
