The project shall be totally completed on or before Friday, October 30th, 2026.

Payments will be made monthly on the basis of a duly certified and approved estimate of the work performed less ten percent (10%) which will be retained by the authority until final completion and acceptance of the entire work.

Any person or business intentionally submitting false information to the Huron Clinton Metropolitan Authority (HCMA) to qualify as a metroparks-based business may be barred from bidding on metroparks contracts for a period of not less than three years.

The project is described as a large-scale construction project (exceeding $35 million).

The project must be completed by September 25, 2026.

Payments shall be made on progress estimates monthly, covering ninety percent (90%) of the work completed. Final payment will be made within thirty (30) days after completion of all work to the satisfaction of the city and engineer.

A maintenance and guarantee bond is required, covering all work performed and materials furnished for a period of one (1) year subsequent to the date of the final estimate.

The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lower bid complying with the conditions of the invitation for bids.

After receipt of bids, each bidder shall submit a statement of qualifications including experience record, organization, and available equipment. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the bidder is not qualified.

Liquidated damages amounting to **** per calendar day will be assessed for failure to complete the contract on or prior to September 25, 2026.

Each bidder should visit the site of the proposed work and fully acquaint himself with the existing conditions.

The owner reserves the right to reject any bid where an investigation does not satisfy the owner that the bidder is qualified to carry out the terms of the contract.
