Bids are due August 12, 2026, by 14:00 HST for maintenance and repair services for truck scales for the Department of Environmental Services, City and County of Honolulu. The contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible offeror with the lowest total sum bid. Offerors must have a service facility on Oahu. A site examination is encouraged. Questions are due July 27, 2026.
Offers are due by 14:00 HST on August 12, 2026.
Invoices shall be submitted within thirty 30 days of performing services. Payments will be made no later than thirty 30 calendar days following receipt of the statement for goods received and services completed.
The contractor shall have a service facility authorized by the manufacturer of the equipment to provide warrantied service and repairs.
The city shall award a contract to the responsive, responsible offeror with the lowest total sum bid.
The offeror shall have a service and repair facility on Oahu and shall employ scale technicians certified by the State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture.
Failure to comply with contract requirements will constitute a breach of contract that may result in suspension or debarment.
It is the responsibility of the offeror to be familiar with all sites of the truck scales and existing conditions. The offeror shall contact Mr. Doug Williams, P. E. at 808 **** to arrange an inspection.
The offeror shall not include samples or descriptive literature unless expressly requested.
Requests for clarifications and substitutions are due July 27, 2026.
Failure to submit the required certification may be grounds for disqualification of the offeror's offer. Failure to comply with the city's requests for documentation within five 5 business days may be sufficient cause for rejection of the bid.
