The bid is for the design and construction of a parade float for the 2026 parade season. The deadline for questions is February 18, 2026, and the response deadline is February 20, 2026. The float must be delivered before 3:30 PM MT on May 27, 2026. The chosen company will receive three payments. The designer/builder will be responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, and repairs through the third week of August 2026. The city may deduct $500 per missed parade. The award will be made to the vendor who is responsive and responsible to all administrative and technical requirements of the rfp who has demonstrated competence and qualifications in regards to providing the services required the cost and prices for the services offered and who receives the highest rating based upon all of the criteria set forth in the rfp.
The completed float must be delivered to Sandy City before 3:30 pm mtn time on May 27, 2026.
The chosen company will receive three payments. first payment of 6, 500 will be a partial completion payment on a date decided on between city and vendor. the second payment of 5, 500 will be paid upon the floats timely delivery to sandy city before 3: 30 p. m. mtn time may 25 may 27, 2026. the final payment of 2, 000 will be paid at the successful completion of the 2026 parade season.
The designer/builder will be responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, and repairs to their float design through the third week of august 2026, which is the end of the parade season.
The award of contract, if made, will be to the vendor who is responsive and responsible to all administrative and technical requirements of the rfp who has demonstrated competence and qualifications in regards to providing the services required the cost and prices for the services offered and who receives the highest rating based upon all of the criteria set forth in the rfp.
For each parade that is missed due to the fault or negligence of designer, its employees, agents, or volunteers, the city will deduct **** per parade missed, which will be taken out of the second andor third paycheck to the designer.
The deadline for questions is February 18, 2026.
The designerbuilder will have an approximate budget of 14, 000 budget to accomplish the design and building of the float.
