Sealed proposals for wing blades & plow shoes will be received until July 2, 2026, 1:00 PM. Mandatory pre-bid meeting is not applicable. Pre-bid question deadline is June 25, 2026, 10:00 AM. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked Bid Item 88 Wing Blades Plow Shoes. Vendors must be registered on BidNet. Questions must be emailed by June 25, 2026, 10:00 AM. Unauthorized contact may result in bid rejection. The Road Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Contract termination is possible with 30 days written notice. Quantities are estimates and may increase or decrease. Delivery costs must be included in the bid price. Prices must remain firm for at least 90 days from bid opening. A protest must be submitted in writing within seven days of award. Successful bidder must provide tax exemption certificates if requested. Bidder must comply with non-discrimination clauses. Insurance requirements include general liability, auto liability, and workers' compensation. Contract term is two fiscal years, with a possible one-year extension. Manufacturer specification sheets are required with the bid. Samples may be requested after bid opening and must be received within seven days. Bidder must identify all subcontractors. Communications must be made only through the purchasing contact. Disqualification may occur for collusion, lack of competency, or past performance issues. Indemnification and hold harmless clauses apply. Successful bidder must have an approved Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Compliance Form on file.

Payment shall be made from suppliers invoice submitted to cover items received and accepted during the billing period. Payment will be made upon final delivery and acceptance of all supplies ordered on each purchase order issued.
The bid will be awarded to the responsible, responsive bidder whose bid conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the road commission, price and other factors considered.
The successful bidder must meet and provide all requirements as outlined in the specifications package. Vendors must be registered on BidNet. Successful bidder must have an approved Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Compliance Form on file.
In case of default by the contractor, the Genesee County Road Commission may procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the bidder responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby.
Evidence in the form of samples may be requested if brand is other than specified. Such samples are to be furnished after the date of bid opening only upon request of the road commission. If samples should be requested, such samples must be received by the Genesee County Road Commission no later than seven 7 days after formal request is made.
A protest with respect to an invitation for bids or request for proposals shall be submitted in writing within seven 7 calendar days of the date the contract is awarded.
Any one or more of the following causes may be considered for the disqualification of a bidder as nonresponsible and the rejection of the bid: evidence of collusion among bidders, lack of competency, lack of responsibility as shown by past work, uncompleted work under other contracts.
