Bids due: July 31, 2026, 1:30 PM. Estimated cost: $291,000 (base bid). Requires California Contractors License (C27 or C49) and DIR registration. Optional site walk: June 23, 2026, 9:00 AM. Project completion: 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Bid security: 10% of maximum bid amount. Prevailing wage requirements apply.
The project must be fully completed within 60 calendar days from the start date set forth in the notice to proceed.
District will pay contractor the contract price for all of contractor's direct and indirect costs to perform the work, including all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, taxes, insurance, bonds and all overhead costs, in accordance with the payment provisions in the general conditions.
The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the responsible bidder that submitted the lowest responsive bid.
This project requires a valid California contractors license for the following classifications: C27 Landscaping or C49 Tree and Palm Contractor. Bidder must also be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to perform public work.
If contractor fails to complete the work within the contract time, district will assess liquidated damages in the amount of $1,500 per day for each day of unexcused delay in achieving final completion.
An optional site walk will be held on June 23, 2026 at 9:00 a. m. , at the Skeggs Point parking area, **** CA-35, Redwood City, CA ****.
The document clearly states there is no requirement for sample submission.
Any bid protest must be submitted in writing and received by District before 5:00 p. m. no later than two working days following the bid opening.
A bid that does not fully comply with the bidders questionnaire requirement may be rejected as nonresponsive. A bidder who submits a bidders questionnaire which is subsequently determined to contain false or misleading information, or material omissions, may be disqualified as nonresponsible.
The estimated construction cost is $291,000, not including the deductive bid alternate.
