NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking a cryocooler system for a thermal vacuum chamber. The system must consist of two coldheads and a single compressor. Interested organizations must submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing by 3:00 PM Central Standard Time on September 19, 2025. The government reserves the right to determine whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis.

The notice requests technical clarifications for an RFQ (Request for Quotation) related to substrates, fixturing, and various process parameters. The end of the cold head shall not extend less than 2 inches above the mounting vacuum flange. The cold head of the cryocooler shall be made from oxygen free, highconductivity ofhc copper and have a lateral footprint of at least 1. 5 x 1. 5. The weight of the cryocooler integrated compressor and cold finger shall not be more than 10 lbs 4. 5 kg, nor shall its physical dimensions exceed 12 inches in overall length or 8 inches in overall width. The temperature controller shall be interfaceable with a pc via usb. The cryocooler shall be operable on single phase 120 vac 60 hz input power and nema 515 receptacles. The cryocoolers rated mean time before failure shall not be less than 100,000 hours. There will be a plan for cryocooler maintenance. The cryocooler must be an established commercial product with at least one unit of comparable complexity operating successfully in the field. Experimental or prototype items are not acceptable. The cryocooler shall be a new not refurbished or reconditioned item covered by the original manufacturers full warranty. The use of gray market components not authorized for sale in the u. s. by the proposer is not acceptable.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWCIHD) intends to award a firm fixed-price contract to Cryovation LLC for the upgrading and replacement of a cryogenic system. The contract involves the provision of a backup cryogenic pump sled, a customer-sized vaporizer, and related components. Interested vendors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit their statements and capabilities by August 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. The contractor must notify the contracting officer 30 days in advance if the delivery schedule cannot be met.
