Linear Stage Government Bids & RFPs

The U. S. government is seeking a scanning linear stage system for a new CHIPS project focused on thermal 3D imaging of advanced semiconductor packages. The system will be a central component of a magnetic imaging microscope designed to quantify temperature using magnetic nanoparticle thermometers. The requirements include a 3-axis stage stack, an additional linear stage, and a motion controller for at least four axes. The stage bodies must be constructed from nonmagnetic materials like aluminum or titanium and incorporate nonmagnetic encoders for location data. Minimum specifications for travel ranges (X: 300 mm, Y: 100 mm, Z: at least 50 mm), accuracy (2 µm), repeatability (1. 5 µm), smallest step size (1. 5 µm), and maximum velocity (10 mm/s) are detailed. The Z-stage must be a low-profile lift-type stage to minimize stack height. The vendor is responsible for assembling and calibrating the XYZ stack, demonstrating that accuracy and repeatability requirements for X and Y directions have been met. Only new, experimental, prototype, or custom items will not be considered. Gray market components are not acceptable. All items must be shipped in original manufacturer packaging with all original documentation and software.
