The bid notice states that all work under this contract must be completed by May 30th, 2026.

The bid notice mentions partial payments will be made at least once each month based on estimates of work performed, with a 10 percent retainage. It also states that the prime contractor agrees to pay each subcontractor within fifteen days of receiving payment from the City of Presque Isle.

The bid notice states that the bidder is expected to carefully examine the site of the proposed work.

The bid notice mentions that the engineer may require shop drawings and/or samples for any materials or equipment to be furnished or for any construction methods to be employed, and no work will be allowed to proceed until these are approved.

The bid notice states that the contractor will be allowed 1 week in which to file a written protest setting forth his/her objections to the engineer's weekly statement of contract time charged.

The project must be completed and equipment in service no later than 120 days from the date of contract execution.

Payment shall be made by the City in accordance with general laws chapter 30, section 39g **** ed. , as amended, which is included in the supplementary general conditions to the contract.

The contractor guarantees the work under this agreement and the materials furnished by him for use in connection therewith to be free from defects or flaws for one year after the completion of the agreement.

The general contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible general bidder complying with the conditions and requirements provided in these instructions, the bid forms and the other bid documents.

The bidder is requested to state below what work of a similar character to that included in the proposed contract he/she has done and to give references that will enable the owner to judge his/her experience, skill, business standing and overall responsibility.

If the contractor fails to correct defective or nonconforming work, the owner may correct it and charge the cost thereof to the contractor.

Bidders may view the site on their own during regular business hours Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

All questions and requests for clarifications or interpretations of the meaning of the contract documents shall be in writing, addressed to the purchasing department, city of worcester, and to be given consideration must be received at least five 5 days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids.
