The contractor shall provide a written workmanship warranty for a period of not less than one year from the date of completion for all elevator repairs, component replacements, and modernization work. Replacement parts and materials are warranted for a minimum of one year or the manufacturer's standard warranty, whichever is longer.

The university may award this contract to the proposer that provides the best overall value. Lowest price alone shall not control selection.

Respondents shall submit a comprehensive qualifications package demonstrating experience, operational capacity, regulatory compliance, and ability to perform campus-wide services. This includes Alabama elevator contractor and mechanic licenses, experience with various elevator types, a strong safety program, and financial stability.

Repeated failure to meet response commitments or other contract requirements may be considered evidence of deficient contract performance and grounds for corrective action or contract termination.

A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 21, 2026. Proposers are responsible for inspecting all covered equipment prior to proposal submission.

Contact between proposers and Tuskegee University personnel other than the designated procurement contact during the proposal evaluation period may result in disqualification. Late submissions may not be accepted.
