9515 plate, sheet, strip, foil, and leaf plate, sheet, strip, foil, and leaf this class contains bulk material only. specially designed items should be placed in a more appropriate class. the items covered by this class are all similar in that they are flat, generally rolled metal, the difference is covered by dimensional parameters in the item name definition. due to urgency of a long lead item, watervliet arsenal requires three large high strength alloy steel forgings for the manufacturing of the 120mm m256. per the drawing involved, the designated chemical composition of alloy steel is in accordance with questek innovations qms m47. competition was not attempted because this composition is proprietary to questek, in conjunction with their producing mill, carpenter technologies.

The structural design and anchorage detailing for the new lead shielding panels is based on the current ASCE 7 16, California building code CBC, 2019 edition, part 10 California existing building code, University of California seismic safety policy, geotechnical data and interpretation report and site specific seismic hazard analyses and development of design ground motions report. The seismic analysis and retrofit design of the existing structure have been performed in a previous task.
