Latest US Airport Expansion Contracts & Bids

The City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge will receive electronic or paper bids for the construction of Taxiway L extension and decommissioning of runway 4R 22L and Taxiway E - Phase II at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on July 8, 2025, at 10:00 a. m. local time. Electronic or sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p. m. local time on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Bid opening can be in person or via teleconference. Bidders must comply with all provisions of the state licensing law for contractors, and hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. Bidders must also meet the DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) participation requirements. Additional documents, including a certified check or cashier's check, payable to the parish of East Baton Rouge or a satisfactory bid bond, are required. Sealed bids are being accepted from contractors for airfield apron and runway construction at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport. Bidders must meet insurance and bonding requirements, and have experience in general construction work at an airport. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 1, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Ogden Airport Terminal. Bid information packets are available on the Ogden City website. Sealed bids must be submitted to the Purchasing Office by July 15, 2025, no later than 11:30 AM. The scope of work includes fogsealing, asphalt, and concrete replacement on the south portion of the airfield. The project is expected to start on August 15, 2025, and finish on May 31, 2026. Bidders must include a completed contractor information sheet (Exhibit B), bid form (Exhibit C), addenda acknowledgement (Exhibit D), bid security, and all items on the bidders checklist (Exhibit A). Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, business automobile liability, and workers compensation. Performance and payment bonds are also required. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bids that best serve its convenience and/or are found to be in the best interest of the city. The US government intends to award a succeeding lease for office and related space at Lincoln Airport, Nebraska, using other than full and open competition. The space must be located on airport property, be contiguous, and include all services, supplies, utilities, partitioning, and tenant alterations.
