The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is seeking proposals for a cloud-based transit data platform. Proposals must be submitted by November 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. The contract will be for one year with four option years. The vendor must provide a SaaS solution, assign an account executive and software engineer, and meet monthly to review performance. The solution must ingest data from various devices, combine multiple feeds, and generate data attributes. The vendor must provide a web-based analytics tool to monitor and improve service reliability and on-time performance. The cost proposal should be structured for a one-year procurement and four option years. The highest-scoring proposal will be brought before the Board of Directors for approval. The vendor will not be paid for the first year until successful setup, implementation, and acceptance by RIPTA staff. The vendor must submit an independent annual security audit and penetration test results to RIPTA. The vendor shall indemnify and hold RIPTA harmless against data loss or misuse arising from their solution. If the selected vendor uses any subcontractors, they must be disclosed and approved by RIPTA prior to engagement.
