Sealed proposals are invited for the 2026 Water Well 43 Pilot Hole and Development Project. The project involves drilling a pilot hole, electronic logging, and constructing a new well to 1,020ft. A non-mandatory pre-bid job walk is scheduled for July 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Bids are due and will be opened on August 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The estimated project cost is between $1. 1M and $1. 2M. The project must be substantially completed within 90 calendar days. Bidders must be licensed in California with Class A and C57 classifications. Prevailing wages apply. Bid security of at least 10% of the bid amount is required.
The project shall be substantially completed within 90 calendar days after the notice to proceed is issued.
Monthly progress payments and the final payment will be made in accordance with the general provisions attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
The contractor will guarantee its work against any defective work, labor, or materials on the project for a period of one (1) year following the projects completion and acceptance by the City.
The project will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder.
No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the state business and professions code. The contractors license classifications required for this project are as follows: general contractor: class a and c57.
Forfeiture due to delay will be assessed at the rate of $950 per day. Penalties for failure to pay prevailing wages and employ apprentices include forfeitures and debarment.
There will be a non-mandatory pre-job walk meeting scheduled on July 30, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. at **** Eleventh Avenue, Delano, CA, ****.
Bids failing to comply with all applicable labor code requirements including labor code sections **** and **** will be considered nonresponsive and shall be rejected by the public agency. Making a false certification may subject the certifier to criminal prosecution.
