Albany County is seeking bids for annual inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance services for nursing home medical equipment at Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The contract term is for five years. Bids are due by 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Bid documents can be obtained from the Purchasing Division or downloaded from the Empire State Bid System website. Payment will be made upon the submission of a completed Albany County claim form. Albany County is not subject to federal, state or local taxes. Cash discounts may be offered but will not be considered in determining the low bidder.
Bids will be evaluated based on lowest total bid cost and projected timetable for completion of services, completeness of the bid, and bidder's demonstrated capabilities and professional qualifications.
All bidders shall submit the bidder qualification questionnaire and the vendor responsibility questionnaire as part of the bid. Albany County may conduct investigations to determine the bidder's ability to perform.
In the event of a breach by contractor, contractor shall pay to the county all direct and consequential damages caused by such breach, including costs to procure a substitute contractor.
