DPS requires contractor to respond to any warranty call concerning this project within a 48-hour time period. For any warranty call issued, contractor will have five days or an agreed-upon timeframe to replace defective products after receipt of notification by DPS that a warranty issue exists.

Responses will be evaluated based on best value, with criteria including technical requirements (30 points), vendor qualifications (40 points), and cost (30 points).

Respondents must provide detailed information demonstrating their qualifications, organizational history, and cumulative experience performing construction projects of similar scope, size, and complexity, including experience with generator systems.

Failure to sign the document will deem the response nonresponsive. DPS may pursue and enforce any available remedies against a vendor for making false statements, including disqualifying the vendor's response or immediately canceling any contract awarded.

Project completion and acceptance by city must be finalized and invoiced to city by September 30, 2026.

The city's normal payment terms are 30 days in connection with any cash discounts specified on this bid. Time will be computed from the date of complete delivery of supplies or equipment as specified, or from the date correct invoices are received in the city's finance department, if the latter date is later than the date of delivery.

The contractor shall provide a minimum one-year warranty on workmanship and installation, and manufacturers' standard warranties on fence materials, finish, operator, and controls. The warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance by the city.

The city intends to award the project based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid, taking into account the base bid and any alternates the city elects to include in the award.

Bidders shall be regularly engaged in furnishing and installing ornamental fence and cantilever gate systems of similar scope and shall provide at least 3 references for similar commercial, institutional, or municipal projects completed within the last 5 years.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. at the site location behind the City of Sterling Heights 41A District Court.

Mistakes or omissions in the bid submission can result in the rejection of your bid. Failure to include all required pages may result in your bid being deemed nonresponsive.
