Timber Harvesting Government Bids & RFPs

The timber sale is a jack pine and aspen clearcut final harvest. Bids must be at or above the advertised price. A bond is required within 21 days of the sale award. Operations must terminate on 12/31/2027. A presale and postsale conference are required. There will be no extensions granted on this contract.

The timber sale is for Cold Creek Red Pine in Schoolcraft County. Bids are sealed and awarded to the highest bidder. A bond of $3,**** is required within 21 days of the sale award. Cutting in any sale or unit without the required advance payment would be considered a trespass. Operations on the contract issued will terminate on 12312028. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) must be contacted prior to harvesting timber within the MDOT right-of-way. The purchaser must protect special protection areas from damage. The purchaser is responsible for posting and maintaining caution signs on the snowmobile trail and motorcycle trail prior to beginning operations.

The timber sale is for the Happy Hare Mix in Mackinac County. Bids must be at or above the advertised price. A bond in the amount of 5,**** is required within 21 days of the sale award. Operations on the contract issued will terminate on **** is restricted on forest trail, sandtown road and cr 468. The access gate into payment units 2 3 must be locked at the completion of each day unless otherwise approved by the unit manager or hisher representative. The purchaser is responsible for posting and maintaining caution signs on on forest trail, sandtown road and cr 468 prior to beginning operations. The road must be posted at appropriate distances from the sale area to warn of logging activity and truck traffic. Signs must be removed when harvest operations are suspended or completed. The purchaser will provide these signs.
