The University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) is seeking qualified
security design firms to provide comprehensive engineering services for the assessment, design, and implementation of
building security systems across multiple UCOP facilities. The primary location is UCOP's main office in Oakland, California, with additional facilities in Riverside, Sacramento, Washington, D. C. , and other regional sites. The scope of services includes
security systems design, feasibility studies, planning standards, program development, cost analysis, design construction administration, electrical scope, project IT management, system evaluation, recommendations, project documentation, collaboration, coordination, re-commissioning services, sustainability alignment, stakeholder support, ongoing support, cost estimating. Firms must demonstrate proven expertise, relevant experience, stakeholder collaboration, communication skills, project management, technology integration, operational understanding, cost control, regulatory navigation, and public sector knowledge. Proposals must not exceed 10 pages and include specific information about the firm's approach, experience, staff, and availability. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on May 23, 2025. The university will review all proposals, select and rank the three most qualified consultants. The selection and ranking will be based on the criteria listed in the notice. The university reserves the right to request any further documentation that it deems appropriate and necessary for the screening and selection process. The respondent must submit three hard copies and one electronic copy of the proposal, each signed by an authorized representative of the consultant.
