The County of Orange is seeking bids for on-site interior and exterior door repair and replacement services. Services include work on wood or metal doors in various wall types, covering installation, repair, and fabrication of components like hardware, weatherstripping, and more. Bids must be submitted by Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 3:30 p. m. prevailing time. Prevailing wage rates apply. A minimum of five years of experience is required. Bid security of **** is required.
Bids will be received up to and including Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 3:30 p. m. , prevailing time, when they shall be opened and read aloud.
Payment shall be made in accordance with the payment compensation provisions of the form contract document provided with this rfb. Pursuant to ny state labor law, certified payrolls indicating payment of prevailing wage rates, as applicable, must be submitted with each invoice involving labor before the county may make any payments to vendor.
Vendor shall warrant each system and unit installed under the contract including all materials and parts necessary to completely install same against failure and or malfunction due to installation errors or omissions for a minimum period of twelve 12 months from the date of written accepted completion of such installation.
A contract award, if any, will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, which will be determined as follows: a the aggregate all inclusive labor rates provided in section 1 of the bid form for the initial term and the potential renewal term calculated based upon one 1 hour of labor plus b the aggregate all inclusive travel time rates provided in section 2 of the bid form for the initial term and the potential renewal term calculated based upon one 1 daily travel charge plus c the aggregate labor rates per unit provided in section 3 of the bid form for the initial term and the potential renewal term calculated based upon one 1 unit plus d the fixed percentage markup on or discount off suppliers invoice for parts and materials provided in section 4 of the bid form which will remain constant for the initial term and the potential renewal term calculated using a cost of ****.
To be considered for a contract award under this rfb, a bidder must employ at the time of the submission of its bid and, if awarded a contract under this rfb, throughout the entire contract term as sufficient number of staff qualified to perform services under the contract.
All questions must be submitted by Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 3: 00 p. m. , prevailing time.
Failure to include proof of its registration with the ny state department of labor as required by ny state labor law 220i in its bid automatically disqualifies a bidder from consideration for a contract award under this rfb.
