The estimated magnitude of this project lies between 500,000 and 1,000,000.

Bids must be submitted to the village of scarsdale on or before the date and time indicated in the notice to bidders, which is Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 2:00 p. m. e. s. t.

Payment for service will be made after presentation of all finished work, verification by the village and village design consultant, including submittal of all of the necessary asbuilt plans, test results and third party special inspections if applicable, and approval by the village treasurer of an executed claim submitted on company letterhead with an attached aia claim form or equal.

After the completion of the work and upon final payment, the village will retain five percent 5 of such payment for a period of twelve 12months to warranty against defective materials and workmanship.

The resulting contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder which submits a responsive bid.

Each bidder shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the class of work bid upon, and must submit a qualifications questionnaire and business reference sheet.

If the successful bidder fails to execute the form of contract within ten days after notice of award, bid check, cash or bond will be forfeited to the village of scarsdale as liquidated damages.

It is expected that bidders will make a personal inspection of the site and take measurements to obtain the necessary information as to the location, foundation material, space requirements, etc. , to enable them to make up their bids intelligently and to advantage.

The deadline for submitting a formal bid rfi is noon, monday, september 31, 2026.

Bids will not be accepted from firms which are debarred from bidding on public contracts, pleaded guilty to or, otherwise, been convicted of bid rigging or related criminal charges.

Payments due within 30 days after the county receives the contractors satisfactory release of liens or claims for liens by subcontractors, laborers, and materials suppliers for completed work or installed materials and invoice.

The contractor warrants that for a period of one year following completion of the work, the work and any goods provided with the work shall conform to the specifications and be free of defects in workmanship or materials.

The itb will be awarded to the offeror who submitted a bid that is most advantageous to genesee county and other locals.

The proposing firm must have at least five years general contracting experience, including roofing, to be considered for this solicitation.

Questions regarding this itb shall be submitted in writing and received no later than 3:00 pm est, monday, august 17, 2026.

Bids will be received until 12:00 p. m. est, wednesday, september 2, 2026, at the genesee county purchasing department, 324 s saginaw street, suite 9a, flint, mi, ****.

The county will pay the contractor within sixty 60 days of the countys acceptance of the invoice and supporting documentation.

For a period of one 1 year following completion of the work, the work and any goods provided with the work shall conform to the specifications and be free of defects in workmanship or materials.

The itb will be awarded to the offeror who submitted a bid that is most advantageous to genesee county and other locals.

The proposing firm must have at least five 5 years general contracting experience, including roofing, to be considered for this solicitation.

Failure to comply with insurance provisions will cause termination of the contract.

Questions inquiries: all questions regarding this itb shall be submitted in writing and received no later than 3: 00 pm est, monday, august 24, 2026, to the genesee county purchasing department as listed above.

If the work performed by the contractor is found to be unsatisfactory or if the contract relations between the contractor, homeowner or other parties are found to be unsatisfactory, the genesee county metropolitan planning commission office may remove hisher name from the list of selected contractors without notice.
